Masks don’t stop Precinct 4 from nabbing two juveniles


HARRIS COUNTY — On January 12, 2019, deputies with the Constable Mark Herman’s office responded to the 300 block of Airtex Boulevard, The Kimberly Pointe Apartments, in reference to suspicious males wearing black masks looking into vehicles in the parking lot.

Upon deputies arriving, they observed a vehicle exiting out of the complex at a high rate of speed.Constable Deputies initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed but the driver refused to stop, leading
deputies on a brief pursuit.

The driver lost control and and crashed into a dead end barrier on Airtex Boulevard then two suspects fled on foot. A perimeter was set and both suspects were quickly apprehended and identified as juvenile males.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen from the apartment complex. The stolen vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner.

“The juveniles were arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center,” said Herman. “The juvenile driver was charged with Felony Evading and Theft of Motor Vehicle. The juvenile passenger was charged with Theft Of Motor Vehicle.”
