CYPRESS — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has released more information regarding Tuesday’s shooting death at 8750 Point Park Drive.

On July 16, 2019, at approximately 2:30 p.m., HCSO patrol units responded to an apartment complex located at 8750 Point Park Drive in reference to a shooting.
According to HCSO, Ryan Bates, 19, was found shot in the front seat of a vehicle. Bates was transported to North Cypress Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
According to deputies, witnesses at the scene said the victim was shot by an unknown male who was seated in the car with the victim. The suspect fled on foot after the shooting.
This case is being investigated by the HCSO Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit.
