CYPRESS — While all results are not official until canvassed, it is safe to say that the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD school board will have three new faces very soon.

For Position 5, Dr. Natalie Blasingame surmounted incumbent Dr. John Ogletree by a 12,682 to 11,233 vote. A margin of 1,449 votes.

For Position 6, Scott Henry defeated incumbent Don Ryan with a 17,032 to 8,234 decision. A difference of 8,798 votes.

For Position 7, Lucas Scanlon overcame incumbent Bob Covey with a 16,247 to 10,680 vote. A margin of 5,567.

According to the school district, results from Tuesday’s election will be canvassed and announced during the Friday, Nov. 12 special-called Board of Trustees meeting. Blasingame, Henry and Scanlon are expected to be sworn in during the Dec. 9 work session to serve four-year terms.
