CYPRESS — As we enter Week 9 of 11, Jersey Village has made a solid statement in the Texas high school football community that the Falcons are here to play with key wins over District 17-6A competitors.
However, the Cy Ranch Mustangs have been picked as high as No. 10 in the MaxPreps.com football polls.
The other Cypress district has Cy Ranch in control of its own destiny with the one-two punch of the top two teams battling it out this Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Berry Center / FCU Stadium. A Wildcat win would give Cy Woods a share of the District 14-6A championship, but otherwise it’s all Mustangs.

District 17-6A
Jersey Village is the last undefeated in District 17-6A and has the week off, before picking off Stratford and Spring Woods in the last two rounds. Stratford has two league wins and Spring Woods has one.

District 14-6A
The Mustangs are also the last lossless team in their respective district.
Cy Ranch has Cy Woods this Saturday, then Bryan and Tomball Memorial. Although the Mustangs sit atop the pole, Cy Woods is only a single game behind and Tomball Memorial has only one league loss so far. Bryan currently sits at No. 6 in the district, but might be able to squeak into a fourth place playoff berth with some luck and winning out the season.
