What do Mark Zuckerberg, Tom Cruise, Will Smith, and David Beckham all have in common? They all love fencing! Children uninterested in team sports often find fencing an excellent physical outlet through which they learn about life, competition, winning, and losing. Memorial Hermann Hospital’s “What are the Holiday Blues, and Tips to Manage Them”

The holidays can be a time of happiness and celebration, but they can also be a difficult and sad time for many. It is not uncommon for individuals to experience feelings of anxiety, sadness, loneliness, or depression during the holidays – for many reasons. A speaker from Memorial Hermann Hospital will discuss how to recognize signs of the holiday blues and how to cope and manage during this often-challenging time. Registration required. 11th Annual Diggin’ Old Stuff Archaeology Festival
Saturday, Nov. 5, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Join us for a fun day of activities at Kleb Woods Nature Center. Participate in an archaeological dig, forge your own keepsake, and tour the 1896 Kleb house. Saturday, Nov. 5, at 5:30 p.m.
Join Harris County Precinct 4 and Houston City Councilmember Mary Nan Huffman for family movie night. Arrive at 5:30 p.m. and meet some pets from local shelters looking for their “furever” home. Thanksgiving Luncheon and Concert
Thursday, Nov. 17, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Precinct 4’s All4Fun will host a Thanksgiving luncheon at Glazier SEC. Meal tickets will be $10 per person, and you can make your required reservation any time before the day of the event. The meal will include turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberries, a roll, and tea. A dessert of pumpkin or pecan pie will also be provided. At 1 p.m., a concert will be performed by La Speranza’s string trio. La Speranza is a professional group of string and wind players who bring chamber music to concert halls across Houston. The group specializes in performances on period instruments of repertoire spanning from the Baroque to early Romantic eras. For more information, visit

Senior Games and Thanksgiving Catered Luncheon
