CYPRESS — The Cy Springs Panthers (F3) ended a losing streak that started all the way back in 2018.

The streak was broken with their rousing 35-28 victory over neighboring Cy Lakes at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium last Friday night. Both teams celebrated their homecomings as well.

The Panthers’ last victory came during the 2018 campaign where they went 1-9 that year. The win was a 37-30 win over Cy Park on Sept. 27, 2018.

Head Coach Rusty Rohan was happy to have the brutal streak over and hopes the victory has changed the tone for the remainder of the 2020 season.

Ending the losing streak also garnered the attention of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine, as the organization named Cy Springs as the 6A team of the week for the accomplishment.
