CYPRESS — A Precinct 4 Constable officer was flagged down in the 5800 block of East FM 1960 by a convenience store clerk, today (Aug. 13, 2018).
The clerk said he was just robbed at gunpoint at the Shell gas station by a black male suspect.
The clerk said that during the robbery he was able to push the suspect down to the ground and the suspect dropped his cellphone before he fled the scene.
Through video surveillance and evidence from the cellphone left behind, officers were able to identify the suspect as Shamane Sanford. Sanford was positively identified by the store clerk through his Facebook page and an arrest warrant was obtained.
“Shamane Sanford is currently wanted for aggravated robbery,” said Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman. “He received no bond out of the 180th District Court.”
