CYPRESS — Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Regulatory Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at the Shell Gas Station located in the 21000 block of West Road regarding illegal gambling, on Sept. 6, 2018.
The Regulatory Enforcement Unit initiated an undercover investigation into the Shell gas Station after receiving a complaint about possible illegal gambling devices in the store.
After investigators developed enough evidence of illegal gambling, the search warrant was executed and store employee, Nazir Ahmed was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of gambling equipment.
In addition to the criminal charges filed, Investigators seized approximately $4,000 in suspected gambling proceeds as well gambling devices and other gambling evidence.
