HARRIS COUNTY — Over the weekend, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Driving While Intoxicated Task Force arrested a total of 14 suspected drunk drivers and one suspect for Possession of a Controlled Substance throughout Precinct 4.
According to the precinct, the drivers were each stopped for traffic violations and displayed several signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered on each suspect and it was discovered that they were driving while intoxicated.
All suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated. It was discovered that Mark Lovell, Victor Marmolejo and Raymundo Olivio had one prior DWI charge each and Gerardo Valdez and Ashley Gautreaux had two prior DWI charges each.
Kachandra Robinson was found to be in possession of Ecstasy and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
“Drinking and driving is not tolerated in Precinct 4,” said Constable Mark Herman. “If you choose to drive drunk, you choose to go to jail.”
