Precinct 4 issues CAT tourniquets to patrol officers

Editor’s Note: We’ve attached a video from Dark Angel Medical on tourniquets. It is for informational purposes for our readers.

HARRIS COUNTY — To enhance the previous Active Shooter training Precinct 4 Deputies have completed, Constable Mark Herman has issued Combat Application Tourniquets to his patrol deputies.

Officers’ toolbox is always evolving and the constable recognized the benefits and importance that this life saving tool, if ever needed, will provide deputies as well as the citizens we serve.

“When medical help is minutes away and seconds are critical to a victim’s survival, Constable Deputies will be equipped to manage life-threatening traumatic injuries,” said Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman.
