CYPRESS — On December 5, 2018, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office observed a suspicious vehicle occupied by three males parked at the Trails of Windfern Apartments located in the 12900 block of Windfern Road.

The deputy approached the vehicle and attempted to make contact with the occupants, but they all fled on foot throughout the complex. A police perimeter was set and a Constable K-9 was able to capture all three suspects identified as Nicholas Ayala and two juveniles.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen earlier that day.

“Nicholas Ayala was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading,” said Constable Mark Herman. “His bond was set at $1,000.00 out of County Court 08. The two juvenile suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center, charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Evading.”
