KATY — The Precinct 5 headquarters had a packed house today as Constable Ted Heap welcomed five new deputies to the Precinct 5 family.

Deputies Chakia Bradford, Maria Ambriz, Kenneth Watkins Jr., Gilberto Garza and Josiah Smith were sworn in today with lots of friends and family on hand as they got their badges pinned on for the first time.

Less than one in ten applicants are hired at Precinct 5. If you are interested in finding out if you have what it takes to join the precinct, contact C5recruiting@hctx.net
