HARRIS COUNTY — Deputies with Constable Ted Heap’s Office are asking for your help locating Christopher Garrett Freeman, who is wanted for using credit cards stolen from a diaper bag on Mother’s Day.

The victim discovered her daughter’s diaper bag missing from her car at the Bear Creek Park in the 3500 block of War Memorial Drive on Sunday, May 12, at approximately 1:30 p.m.

The bag also contained the victim’s wallet with several credit cards inside.


According to the Precinct 5 Constable’s Office, Freeman, 21, was caught on video using the stolen credit cards to purchase more than $600 of gift cards at a nearby Target. He is believed to be driving a black BMW X5 with a temporary license plate.

After posting video of the suspect on Facebook, Constable Heap’s deputies received information that allowed them to identify the suspect and obtain an arrest warrant.

Freeman is also wanted on felony credit card abuse charges in Harris County Precinct 4 and Precinct 5 deputies are working with their partners in Constable Mark Herman’s office to locate and arrest him.
