Precinct 5 welcomes five more deputies

KATY — Constable Ted Heap returned from the Thanksgiving holiday weekend to welcome five new deputies to the Precinct 5 family, Nov. 26, 2018.

Deputies Sofia Jumbo, Khadija Lackings, Charles Scott, Jose Ramos and Lynn Drake were sworn in today, with lots of friends and family on hand.

Many of them were joined by loved ones who are already in law enforcement including Jumbo’s husband, Steven, a deputy with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office; Lackings’ close friend Jonathan Ajayi, also a Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy; and Deputy Drake’s son Brandon, who is an officer with the Sealy Police Department.
