KATY — The Precinct 5 Constable Ted Heap welcomed three new deputies to the local law enforcement office this morning.
Deputy Sherrie Cotillo, Deputy Jessica Mitchell and Deputy Julio Cirlos all took their oaths to protect and serve this morning with their close family watching on, many of them also in law enforcement.
There were a few tears, but they were tears of joy as these deputies have worked long and hard to enter their new law enforcement career.
Each of the deputies also passed a rigorous multi-step screening process, with less than one in ten applicants ultimately getting hired. If you’re interested in joining the Precinct 5 force, visit https://constablepct5.com/index.php/career-opportunities/
The precinct covers much of Cypress, and extends south to cover over a million Harris County citizens.
