CYPRESS — According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, “on March 17, 2021, at approximately 11:54 AM the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Northwest District Patrol responded to a call at the Timewise Convenience Store located at 12899 Telge Rd., in reference to a Weapons Disturbance. The reportee advised a male was walking around the parking lot, bleeding, with a knife in his hand. Patrol Deputies arrived on scene and attempted to safely detain the male. The male refused commands and began to fight with deputies. During the physical altercation, the male was shot by deputies. Deputies immediately began rendering aid to the male and continued until Emergency Medical Services arrived. The male was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased.”
This case is being investigated by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs Division, and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office Civil Rights Division.”
