Single car accident turns fatal on Tomball Parkway

HARRIS COUNTY — On Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at approximately 2:50 a.m., the operator of a 2011 Chevrolet Impala was traveling northbound through the 19700 block of SH 249 main lanes.

The operator exited the main lanes on the Chasewood Park Drive exit ramp.

The operator failed to drive in a single marked lane of travel and struck the outside raised curb. The operator over corrected curving slightly to the left and left the roadway to the west.

The operator was unable to gain control of her vehicle and struck the concrete support base to a light pole. The operator died on scene from her injuries sustained during this collision.

The operator has not been positively identified.

This crash remains under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
