CYPRESS — Join Lone Star College – CyFair choir students to celebrate the holidays with “Songs of Winter” – a choral concert at Lone Star College-CyFair Nov. 28.
“This concert will feature selections from Tchaikovshy’s “The Snow Maiden” as well as songs of inspiration and seasonal favorites,” said Daniel Bircher director and adjunct instructor.
During this season of giving, this evening of entertainment will be an opportunity to help students in need with donations to the LSC-CyFair “Food for Thought” Food Pantry, said Fine Arts Coordinator Joshua Estrada.
“Rather than charging an admission, we are requesting a donation be given for the food pantry. Suggested items are canned chicken, jelly in plastic jars, spaghetti sauce in plastic jars or cans, canned chili, diapers size 4 or 5, and toilet paper,” said Estrada.
The Nov. 28 choral concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Main Stage Theatre located in the Center for the Arts building at 9191 Barker Cypress.
Mark Dec. 6 on the calendar for the upcoming “Orchestral Dances” and “Jazz Salute” two concerts in one evening. This double billing will be another opportunity to enjoy our talented student musicians for free and donate to the food pantry.
