CFISD Student of the Week: Danielle Brock (Sept. 14, 2020) (CFISD Communications)

CYPRESS — Cy-Fair High School senior Danielle Brock balances an after-school job with her academics and involvement with FFA, where she raises lambs and is also welding a 16-foot trailer.

Age: 17

Grade: 12

Accomplishments: Brock raises lambs for FFA in addition to a project where she is welding a 16-foot trailer. She excels in balancing her academics and extracurricular activities, and is currently applying to colleges and universities.

Favorite class: “My favorite class is Ag Mech (Agricultural Mechanics and Metal technologies).”

Favorite things to do after class: “Take a nap, work on welding and work on the trailer.”

Favorite song:Mambo Italiano.”

Favorite website: “Cool Math has a lot of interesting and fun things to see and work on.”

Favorite TV show:Bones.”

Favorite movie:Dirty Dancing.

Ambition: “I want to be inspiring to young women.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “One of my big passions is Forensics AG.”

What inspires you?: “My parents and my older sister inspire me.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “Family, welding and peace and quiet.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “Getting a gold star for every grading period.”
