Suspect hit by vehicle on road near Cy Lakes High School, dies at hospital


CYPRESS — According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a suspect was struck by a vehicle near Cy Lakes High School today.

The office says that deputies were responding to a family violence call in the area. Once on location, the suspect fled on foot and was struck by a vehicle. The initial report states that he was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

According to the Cy-Fair Fire Department, medics responded to the auto-pedestrian incident. CFFD medics transported the patient to Memorial Herman Katy in critical condition with CPR-in-progress.

(Update: at 3:30 p.m., Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that the suspect has died at the hospital)
