CYPRESS — A talented tournament field is expected to return to CFISD for the ninth annual Houston Methodist Cy-Hoops Invitational, which is scheduled for Dec. 6-8 at three high school campuses and the Berry Center. The event is hosted by the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF) in partnership with Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and Houston Methodist West Hospital.

The three-day tournament features Premier Sponsors Wainwright Dental & Associates, P.C., Underwood Orthodontics, Spradley Endodontics, and Spring Cypress Oral Surgery and Implant Center.

Cypress Lakes High School will join the 11 other CFISD boys’ basketball teams in competing in the ninth annual Houston Methodist Cy-Hoops Invitational, which will be held Dec. 6-8 at Cypress Lakes, Cypress Park and Cypress Ranch high schools and the Berry Center.

CFISD’s 12 high school boys’ basketball teams will participate in the tournament, with Cypress Lakes, Cypress Park and Cypress Ranch high schools serving as host sites. Also included in the field are three returning teams – Dekaney, Port Arthur Memorial and Waxahachie – that enter the 2018-2019 season ranked in the top ten for the state of Texas according to MaxPreps.com.

The championship game is set for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Berry Center.
