FORT WORTH – An overwhelming majority of the Tarrant County Executive Committee outvoted those who called for the removal of Dr. Shahid Shafi as Vice Chairman of the Tarrant County Republican Party, Thursday (Jan. 10, 2019).
Republican Party of Texas Chairman James Dickey commented:
“We stand by the vote of the Tarrant County Republican Party to keep Dr. Shafi on as Vice Chairman. Our platform clearly and unequivocally advocates religious freedom and non-discrimination. We have always and will continue to stand for religious freedom and for welcoming all who share our values into our party. We look forward to working with all Republicans to fight for lower taxes, quality education, and to continue our booming economy through Republican leadership.”
