Three CFISD girls’ basketball teams advance to regional quarterfinals


CYPRESS TEXAS — The Cypress Creek, Cypress Ranch and Jersey Village high school girls’ basketball teams all won their playoff games in the area round and advanced to the regional quarterfinals.

Cypress Ranch High School defeated Conroe Oak Ridge 54-41. The Mustangs advance to face Pflugerville Hendrickson at 6 p.m. on Feb. 18 at Giddings High School (2335 North Main St.).

Jersey Village High School beat Fort Bend Dulles 71-41. The Falcons advance to face Houston Westside at 6 p.m. on Feb. 19 at the Merrell Center (6301 S. Stadium Lane) in Katy.

Cypress Creek High School defeated Fort Bend Ridge Point 82-60. The Cougars advance to face Katy at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 at the Merrell Center.

Tickets for the Jersey Village and Cypress Creek games will be sold at the gate for $5 each (adults and students). Tickets for the Cypress Ranch game will be sold at the gate for $5 for adults and $3 for students.
