Traffic stop leads to arrest of felon possessing a firearm


HARRIS COUNTY — A deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 5000 block of East FM 1960, Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018.

Upon making contact with the driver, the deputy smelled the odor of marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle, according to police reports.

The driver was detained and identified as Kornelious Warren. The deputy located 1.5 ounces of marijuana and a loaded firearm inside the vehicle. Further investigation revealed Kornelious Warren was a convicted felon.

“Kornelious Warren was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm,” said Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman. “His bond and court information have not been set at this time.”
