Unknown black man found dead in drainage canal with gunshot wound


According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, “on February 16, 2021, at approximately 9:00 AM,  Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 5 patrol units responded to  a large drainage canal in the 20300 block of W. Little York Rd. in reference to a man laying on the bank. Deputies arrived to find an adult black male deceased from a single gunshot wound. The male victim of this murder is yet to be positively identified. The motive for the murder is unknown at this time.

“Anyone with information about this murder is asked to call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit at 713-274-9100 or Crime Stoppers.”

HCSO stated that the man had not been identified as of Feb. 18, 2021.
