CYPRESS — Four Cypress teams wrap up the first week of the 2019 Texas high school football campaign tonight in Cypress and the local area.

All of District 14-6A — except for reigning champion Cy Ranch — will have played their first game either Thursday or Friday night. The Mustangs face off against perennial Katy powerhouse Cinco Ranch tonight.

There will be three Cypress teams from District 17-6A opening their 2019 seasons tonight. Reigning district champion Jersey Village host Alief Hastings at Pridgeon Stadium, while Cy Falls hosts Aldine at the Berry Center – FCU Stadium complex.

The 2017 state champion Cy-Fair Bobcats head to battle The Woodlands in their campaign opener.

District 14-6A

The Cy Ranch Mustangs head south to battle Katy’s Cinco Ranch at Legacy Stadium at 6 p.m. in the last scheduled District 14-6A game of week 1. #MWT Mustangs Win Tonight!

District 17-6A

The Cy-Fair Bobcats start their season tonight at The Woodland’s Woodforest Stadium at 6 p.m. #BFND Bobcat Fight Never Dies

Cy Falls’ Golden Eagles host Aldine at FCU Stadium, also at 6 p.m.

Jersey Village hosts Alief Hastings at Pridgeon Stadium at 6 p.m.

Filling out the District 17-6A schedule is Memorial at Katy’s Seven Lakes.
