WHS Warhawks Win State Championship


WALLER — WHS Warhawks Win State Championship.

At the O’Conner Armed State Drill Meet, Waller High School’s (WHS) Warhawks Armed Drill Team claimed the top spot and were named State Champions. Teams were judged on three categories: regulation, color guard, and exhibition. The Warhawks took first in exhibition, second in regulation, and eighth in color guard. In commander point, Senior Justin Benassi ranked third. The Phantoms Unarmed Team ranked second in exhibition and color guard, and fifth in regulation, winning fourth place overall. Next, both teams will head to the National Championship at Daytona Beach, Florida.
