JERSEY VILLAGE — Maggie Wiley, principal at Cook Middle School, was named the new principal at Jersey Village High School on May 6. Wiley replaces Ralph Funk, who will retire in June.
Wiley is currently in her 23rd year in education. She began as a high school teacher in Clear Creek ISD before joining CFISD in 1999 as a math teacher at Cypress Creek High School and two years later as a director of instruction helping teacher.
Wiley moved into administration in 2003. She was named an assistant principal at Cypress Creek, serving one year before taking over the director of instruction role for three years and then associate principal for seven years. Wiley was named principal at Cook in 2014 and has served in that role for five years.
Wiley received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Houston – Clear Lake and her Master of Science in Educational Administration from the University of Houston.
“I am honored to be given the opportunity to serve the Jersey Village community as the new principal of Jersey Village High School,” Wiley said. “Jersey Village High School has a long standing tradition of excellence and Falcon pride in everything it does. I commit to continuing the great work of the students, staff and community and pushing us all to ‘soar to new heights.’ I am proud to be a Falcon.”
